At CursiveGen (cursivegen.com), accessible from https://cursivegen.com, the privacy of our visitors is of paramount importance to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by CursiveGen and how we use it.

1. Client-Side Generation & Zero Content Storage

Your input text, generated handwriting styles, and downloaded graphics (PNG, SVG, PDF) are processed entirely inside your web browser via client-side JavaScript and HTML5 Canvas. We do not transmit, log, store, or inspect the text you type into any of our generator tools on our servers.

2. Log Files

CursiveGen follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. Like virtually all web hosts, the information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of this information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking user movement, and gathering demographic statistics.

3. Cookies and Web Beacons

CursiveGen may store small preferences in your browser (for example favorite Unicode styles in localStorage on generator pages). We do not load a separate analytics script in the page HTML. When ads are enabled, Google AdSense and Funding Choices may set advertising and consent cookies as described below. You can disable cookies through your browser settings and manage ad personalization via the links in section 4.

4. Google AdSense & Advertising Partners

Google is a third-party vendor on our site. Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie and Google advertising cookies, to serve ads to visitors based on their visit to cursivegen.com and other websites across the Internet.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
  • See How Google uses information from sites that use our services.

Third-party ad servers or networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their advertisements and links appearing on CursiveGen. These are sent directly to users' browsers, which automatically receive your IP address. These technologies measure campaign effectiveness and personalize advertising content. CursiveGen has no access to or control over cookies used by third-party advertisers.

5. CCPA / CPRA Privacy Rights (California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CPRA, California consumers have the right to:

  • Request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of personal data collected about consumers.
  • Request deletion of any personal data collected about the consumer.
  • Request that a business that sells or shares personal data refrain from doing so (opt-out of sale/sharing).

We do not sell personal information. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. Please contact us to exercise any of these rights.

6. GDPR Data Protection Rights (EEA & UK Users)

Every European Economic Area and UK user is entitled to the following data protection rights:

  • Right to access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to erasure: You have the right to request deletion of your personal data under certain conditions.
  • Right to restrict processing: You have the right to request restriction of processing your personal data.
  • Right to data portability: You have the right to request transfer of your data to another organization or directly to you.

7. Chrome Extension Privacy

The CursiveGen Chrome Extension operates locally within your browser to generate Unicode cursive styles. Detailed extension-specific permissions and storage rules are documented in our Chrome Extension Privacy Policy.
