How realistic handwriting is produced
Unlike Unicode “cursive” that swaps individual letters, this generator loads real Open Font License script faces from Google Fonts. Your browser lays out glyphs with spacing, slant, and ascenders/descenders that match print typography. When you export, html2canvas (PNG/PDF) or a lightweight SVG text node captures those outlines so viewers see the same curves whether they open the file on a phone or a classroom projector.
Unicode paste is still best for Instagram bios; image export is best when letters must join visually on paper. If you need copy-paste styles too, use the cursive generator Copy & paste tab or the Unicode font generator.
Paper types and classroom layouts
Toggle blue horizontal lines to mimic wide-ruled or college-ruled sheets. Optional red margin lines help primary students align capitals. Page width slider approximates notebook width; A4 (210×297 mm), A3, and A5 presets match common printer trays in the US and EU. For repeated drills, pair exports with the worksheet generator to add dotted tracing rows.
Ink colors that survive scanning
Default black (#1a1a1a) scans cleanly. Navy and forest greens read as “pen” without photocopy fade. Reserve red for teacher corrections, not student models, so OCR and classroom scanners stay legible.
Worked examples
Example 1 — Homework sentence
Text: The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Font: Caveat at 22px on A4 with lines on. Export PDF, print at 100% scale, no “fit to page” shrinking.
Example 2 — Name banner
Text: Olivia in Great Vibes, transparent PNG, wide margins off. Drop into Canva or Google Slides as a title graphic.
Example 3 — Parent note
Text: Please sign and return by Friday. Dancing Script, blue ink, A5. Fits half-sheet reminders in take-home folders.
Practice sheets and joins

Choosing PNG vs PDF
PNG is ideal for slides, social graphics, and quick shares. PDF preserves vector-friendly layout for print shops and homework packets. Both lock letterforms as pixels or print paths — unlike Unicode bios, recipients cannot accidentally strip your font when they forward a file.
