Cursive Letter R β€” How to Write & Copy-Paste 𝓇

By Alex Rivera Β· Last updated August 2, 2026 Β· Last tested: July 28, 2026

Cursive r is a short letter with a distinctive shoulder: a brief upstroke, a small hump or point at the midline, then an exit. It is deceptively hardβ€”too rounded and it becomes an n; too pointed and it looks printed. Uppercase R adds a bowl and a diagonal leg. In Palmer and Zaner-Bloser, r is drilled early because it appears in countless blends (tr, br, cr). Clean r shoulders improve overall word rhythm immediately.
